Molly, an Idaho native, now calls the Hudson River Valley home. Her interest in dance making, pedagogy, kinesiology and performance art brings her into Manhattan weekly. This unique locale allows her to strike a balance between the natural world and the limitless inspiration that an artist can find in the city. Molly holds a B.F.A. in Modern Dance from the University of Utah and a Pilates certification from PhysicalMind Institute. Prior to forming JuMo Dance, Molly directed, produced and choreographed Crawlspace in 2008, an intimate concert of original dance and live accompaniment. Molly’s work has also been seen at Boise State University’s Dancefest 2007-2009, Gulfshore Ballet and the University of Utah’s Student Concert and Senior Concert. As the 2009 Audiences Award Artists grant recipient, she along with Juan M. Aldape presented their latest work in The Grey Area.
Molly has had the privilege of working with Stephen Koester, Charlotte Boye-Christensen, Pamela Geber, GoGoVertigoat Dance Project, Ashley Anderson, Lindsey Drury, Theresa Duhon, Gesel Mason, Carly Berrett and countless other emerging artists. During her academic years, she was the co-artistic director of the department’s Student Concert and a member of the Orchesis Honorary Society. Outside of dance, Molly can be seen serving tea and climbing rocks with her husband.
